Product Overview

DYNASET HRU Hydraulic Rescue Unit boosts the hydraulic power of a mobile machine suitable for rescue tools or other hydraulic tools.

The HRU Hydraulic Rescue Unit is a compact, high-performance solution designed for rescue operations. With its own hydraulic pump, oil tank, and filter, this unit uses the carrier machine’s hydraulic system to generate up to 800 bar of pressure, enabling the use of demanding rescue tools. The HRU offers the world’s best power-to-size ratio, allowing for simultaneous operation of two tools, making it ideal for use in tight spaces where efficiency is essential.

  • World’s best power-to-size ratio, delivering 800 bar pressure in a compact unit (375 mm length, 240 mm width, 220 mm height / 14.76 x 9.45 x 8.66 inches)
  • Simultaneous operation of two tools, with 5 l/min for each tool at 800 bar
  • If one tool is used, hydraulic lines can be combined to achieve 10 l/min flow rate
  • Requires 210 bar and 45 l/min flow from the carrier machine or fire engine
  • Powering up hydraulic cutting tools, hydraulic spreaders, and combi tools
  • Powering up hydraulic rams and struts
  • Other pressure boosting applications

The Hydraulic Rescue Unit (HRU) features an independent hydraulic system that utilizes a machine’s, vehicle’s or vessel’s hydraulic system as its power source.

  • Hydraulic oil flow from the carrier machine is directed to the HRU via the pressure line. This flow powers the HRU’s hydraulic pump, and the oil is then returned to the carrier machine’s hydraulic oil tank through the return line.
  • The HRU’s hydraulic pump generates its own hydraulic oil flow and is equipped with both pressure and return lines. These lines are connected to an on/off operating block, which regulates the oil flow from the HRU.
  • The on/off operating block can accommodate two hydraulic tools, allowing simultaneous operation (5 l/min flow per tool at 800 bar) or individual operation (10 l/min flow at 800 bar).
  • A bypass valve within the on/off operating block activates when the on/off valve is closed, redirecting the hydraulic oil flow back to the HRU’s hydraulic oil tank.
  • All hydraulic oil eventually returns to the HRU’s hydraulic oil tank via the return line.
